Glo Bro

Maureen visited Team Kea and shared the Glo Bro book about road safety.
Glo Bro had lots of messages for us.

We must wear our seat belt.
We need to wear our helmet correctly.
We need to watch for sneaky driveways.
We need to slow down at a driveway when on our scooter.
If our ball goes on the road we ask an adult to help us.
The zebra crossing is for us to cross the road holding an adults hand.
Stop and step back.
Stop, look, listen and decide if it is safe to cross.

To wear our helmet we use our fingers and go 2-4-1.  2 above eyes, 4 by our ears and 1 under our chin.

If your helmet has a crack you need to get a new one.
We must look after our head?  Our brain is in our head.

If it's wheels, it's a helmet!
This will protect our brain if we have a fall.
Our helmet must be the right size for us.

Cranes

We were reading a book about cranes.
Fonterra have got a crane over at the big chimney today.
Some men are on it.  We think they are fixing the chimney.

Congratulations, great work.

Ronald McDonald visits

Ronald McDonald visits Edendale School.

We make our seat belt click.

Roads are dangerous so we have to be careful on the footpath.
We walk on the house side sensibly, looking and listening.
We need to stop, look and listen when we walk past a driveway.

Stop, look and listen before you cross the street.
We use the pedestrian crossing.  Some people call it a
Zebra crossing.

We only cross the road when we hear 2 magic words
"CROSS NOW".

We have learnt about being safe.

Remember ... stop, look and listen.

Thanks Ronald McDonald!
