Week 11, Term 1, 2014

Sohpie R is the Team Kea MVP for excellence.
Go Sophie... keep up the hard work and
'can do' attitude to be a great learner.

This week for maths we have been learning about time.
We know it is important to say and write the days of the week
in order.   We also need to know which days are school days
and which are weekend days.

Maddison and Hudson put the months of the
year in order.  We all know which month our
birthday is and our name is on the right
 balloon on our wall.

Lauren and Renee used the clock to make o'clock times.

Danyon and Hudson love reading and enjoyed our collection
of Clifford books this week.  We are all going to enjoy reading
everyday over the holidays so we continue to be good readers.

'I  i  ' is our letter of the week this week.  Rocco and Ben have
an ice block and an i-pad from our letter of the week table.

Arash kindly shared Easter egg with
all of us.  Thanks Arash you are very
thoughtful.

Week 9, Term 1, 2014

The tractor ploughed up part of the field so we can have
more play area.

This week we have been learning about weight.  Sophie
brought along 3 ice-cream containers to see if we could
guess which one was the heaviest!  She tricked us as
the smallest container had stones in it and was the
heaviest.  The two bigger containers weighed the same.
WOW what amazing learning Sophie!!

We used two weights that looked the same in our balance
scales.  One was much heavier than the other because
it was made of steel.  The light one was plastic.

Over the last two weeks we have been swimming everyday
with Lucianna and Kirsten.  We have learnt lots of swimming
skills and some of us can now swim 25 metres!!!  It was
such good fun.  Thank very, very much to all of the parents
who helped out.
