Week 9, Term 3

On Wednesday we enjoyed marmalade on toast with
Paddington Bear.

We read the story about Paddington Bear visiting the
Tower of London.  The ravens ate Paddington Bear's
marmalade sandwiches!

Thank you very much to Mr and Mrs Moir for making
us our delicious marmalade, it was yummy.

Week 8, Term 3

A yummy cupcake party for Team Kea!  WOW, the standard
of decorating was very high for our very tasty treats.

We delivered all of our signs and name tags to the
residents of the Wyndham
Rest Home along with some beautiful
spring flowers and a lovely card.

This week we joined forces with staff from Fonterra
and went out into our Edendale community on
'Operation Clean Up'.  After all of our work we
enjoyed a barbeque lunch and an ice-cream.

This week we have been learning about measuring.
We brought along our teddy bears to measure.
Paddington thought he should also join in the fun!

Playing non stop cricket was alot of fun for fitness on
such a beautiful spring day.

We had a visit from Elgrego this week and he performed
lots of magic tricks.  Elgregoe used our values as he
talked about being a HERO.  We all like to be HEROES
because we like to always treat other people how we
want to be treated.

Week 7, Term 3

Ben enjoyed being the teacher and reading The Little Yellow
Digger to the class.

We enjoyed learning how to weave for art.

Team Kea used a black and white photo of a kea
as the backing to our weaving.

We used blue for the sky, green for the kea, orange for
under the kea's wings and shades of brown for the
rocks as we were weaving.

We really enjoyed weaving.  It was hard going under and over
but we think our finished art is very cool.

Week 6, Term 3

It was so sunny we went outside and used chalk on
the concrete at maths time.  It was fun!

.

Sophie shared her news about winning the
champion fancy dress competion on
Saturday with her horse Charlie.

Fletcher shared his story about a house being shifted
from their farm on a very big truck with hydraulics.

Ella, Team Kea's Student Council rep visited us to tell
us about the cupcake competition next week.
We can ice and decorate 3 cupcakes and then bring them
to school.  The student councillors are the judges.
Jayden, Noe and Kahu are patting Otis the goat.  Otis
has a round house made out of iron for shelter.  He is
very friendly and is grazing in the paddock
beside our school.
